CAMP BABOON
Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM for ages 8-12.
$190 per 1-week session plus $50 supply fee.
The camp will include three classes: Math Monkey + Mad Science + Mission: Hydrogen Fuel Cells. This will = Cool Fun!

Have a great time playing math games. Do science experiments with dry ice, gooey slime and see what pops up in our explosion lab! Learn about renewable hydrogen, use fuel cells to make things go and take home activities!

Remote Tutoring from Math Monkey Offers High-Tech Answers for Students and Parents

Karen Farrell, Center Director, explains that the new program lets the
student interact, in the comfort of home, with a teacher by use of
whiteboard technology, instant messaging and voice communication. A
writing pad and pen mouse can also be used as learning tools.

Vedic Vine: Here's an easy way to mentally get the square of numbers that
end in 5:

Start with a two digit number like 25. We want to find 25 squared.

• First step - multiply the 2 by the next higher number 3 and get 6 - this is the first digit of your answer.
• Second step - compute 5 squared which is 25 and those are the last 2 digits of the answer. The answer is 625.

For 45 squared

•  Multiply 4x5 = 20, then 5 squared is 25. The answer is 2025.
