If you thought your day was bad, check out what Julie had to endure as her dinner party went south in a hurry.
My husband invited his boss and his family over to our house for dinner. My husband was on the verge of making partner at his law firm so he was planning on discussing business (in addition to getting a little schmoozing time in.) His boss is fairly young and has a young family, so we told him and his wife to bring their 5-year-old twins. We had a brand new puppy and thought it would be fun for the three of them to play…big mistake!
After we had all finished eating, we (the adults) remained in the dining room to talk over coffee and dessert and the kids ran off into the living room. A couple minutes later, one of the little girls ran into the dining room and said, ‘Look everyone! The doggie is dancing with sissy!’
Humoring them, we got up, went to the living room, only to see our male puppy, well, doing what nature intended male puppies to do! I was horrified, my husband was embarrassed, and his boss’ wife was disgusted! I held our puppy for the rest of the night while my husband’s boss and his wife told the little girls that the dog took dance lessons. Needless to say, we now keep our puppy in the backyard when company is over.

Interesting, because normally its the lawyers themselves that have taken the dance lessons and do that little dance she so politely calls "nature" to the rest of us!
