"Eat Drink Man Woman" premieres on March 19 at 7 p.m. |
Feeling like putting a little culture into your life? When was the last time you decided to forgo the animated film or action-packed blockbuster and opted for a good old foreign film with some substance and merit?
In other words, think about leaving the kids behind at home and head to the Rancho Santa Margarita Public Library on March 19 located at 30902 La Promesa.
Why? Because at 7:00 p.m. the newly renovated library is offering a free screening of Eat Drink Man Woman from writer and director Ang Lee's modern-day tale of three marriageable Taiwanese daughters living with their widowed father, a master chef. It was nominated as the 1994 Best Foreign Language Film.
A brief discussion will follow the film. In addition, the colorful film celebrates the art of Chinese cooking and relationships between men and women and family.
