Antonio Parkway was named after Rancho Mission Viejo's CEO.

Many of the streets in and around Rancho Santa Margarita have strong meanings. Yes, several of the main streets are named after various people involved with the development of the area. Did you know:

Streets in Rancho Santa Margarita:

• Antonio Parkway: Named after Anthony “Tony” Moiso, CEO and President of Rancho Mission Viejo, LLC --- he shepherded the early development of Mission Viejo and the planning/development of Rancho Santa Margarita, Las Flores and now Ladera Ranch. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the 23,000-acre Rancho Mission Viejo, the largest family-held land holding in Orange County.

• Melinda Parkway (look at intersection of Santa Margarita and Melinda parkways): Named after Melinda Moiso, wife of Tony Moiso and mother to their four daughters.
• Gilberto: Named after Gilbert Aguirre -- Senior V.P. of Ranch Operations -- Rancho Mission Viejo.

• Calle Melinda, Calle Katrina, Calle Christina, Calle Maria, Calle Francesca:
Named after Melinda Moiso, wife of Tony Moiso and mother to their daughters Katrina, Christy, Anne Marie and Francesca (Frandy).

Streets in Ladera Ranch:

• Benjamin: Named after Melinda Moiso’s father

• Sienna Parkway: Named after Katrina Moiso’s daughter who is the Moiso’s first grandchild. A four-mile long road that runs the length of Ladera Ranch.

• O’Neill Drive: Named after Mr. O’Neill (Tony’s uncle, Alice’s brother. Mr. O’Neill died in April 2009)

• Cecil Pasture Road: Named after Cecil Martinez, a beloved Rancho Mission Viejo vaquero who is deceased. There is a riding arena on at the Ranch’s Cow Camp called the Cecil Martinez Riding Arena also named in tribute for this beloved cowboy.
