Laguna Niguel's firework show ends the 4th with a bang.

It’s not quite Saturday yet but all this 4th of July hype has the O.C. seeing stars—and stripes of course! Locals, feel lucky because you’ve got the hottest spot for celebrating this freedom fest! And for all you out-of-town-bound vacationers, cool your engines because Orange County has everything you’ll need for enjoying this American holiday.

Barbeques, swimming pools, bonfires, and block-parties are some of the quintessential activities Laguna Niguel patriots will delve into, but why not make this year’s summer a little more memorable?

Well, that’s exactly what Laguna Niguel’s YMCA had in mind. The activity center will be hosting its annual Run in the Parks races. The 10K run starts at 7:00am, the 5K run/walk begins at 8:40am, and the children’s walk doesn’t start until 10:00am. With a race for everyone, this is a perfect 4th of July activity for the whole family!

But for those of you who get more excitement out of eating than running, the Chamber of Commerce’s Pancake Breakfast—7:30 to 10:30am—is the ideal way to start the day.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Suit up for free swimming at the Crown Valley Community Park Pool from 9:00 to 5:00pm and then head over to the Amphitheater for a famed City Summer Concert from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Like any 4th of July soirée the event finishes with a bang as the Laguna Niguel Regional Park’s firework show starts as soon as the sun goes down.

So wave your grand old flags, your high flying flags, Laguna Niguel, because this 4th of July will be a far from ordinary day to remember!
